Nature-Based Setting with 24/7 Support

Surrounded by trees and walking paths, Bradford at Madison offers a peaceful backdrop for recovery in Northern Alabama. The residential campus is designed to promote rest and focus, with gardens, outdoor spaces, and shared accommodations that foster connection. Clients receive around-the-clock support in a structured environment equipped for both medical detox and inpatient care.

Veteran-Focused Treatment Track

Bradford’s Hero’s Path program provides specialized care for veterans and active-duty service members. Treatment addresses post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, and other service-related challenges, while helping clients navigate VA benefits. The programming reflects an understanding of military life and offers space for veterans to reconnect with purpose through community and clinical support.

Evidence-Based and Holistic Therapy

Clients engage in a personalized mix of therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. Group and individual counseling are integrated with expressive therapies like art and music, as well as mindfulness and physical wellness activities. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) are also available for those with opioid or alcohol use disorders.

Connection to Ongoing Recovery

While residential stays typically last around 28 days, length of care is flexible based on clinical needs. After discharge, individuals can continue their recovery through outpatient programs at other Bradford Health locations, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) options. Continuing care groups and alumni programming help bridge the transition and maintain progress beyond inpatient treatment.

Client Reviews

Clients often highlight the staff’s compassion, the sense of community among peers, and the positive impact of group meetings and detox services. Many describe making meaningful progress in recovery and value the support they receive through continuing care and alumni programs.
