Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who need structured outpatient addiction treatment while continuing work, school, or family responsibilities; are transitioning from detox or inpatient treatment and still benefit from accountability and support; want integrated treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; benefit from peer connection, group therapy, sober living support, and a recovery-focused community; may need flexibility to move between levels of care as recovery progresses.
Not a fit if: Clients seeking luxury accommodations or executive-style privacy; want minimally structured outpatient care; require primary inpatient psychiatric hospitalization; are looking for detox-only services at this location; or are uncomfortable with group-based programming and community-oriented recovery environments.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Assessment and intake: A typical admission process involves an initial 15-20 minute telephone assessment to gather information on a client's medical, psychological, and substance abuse issues. The clinical team will assess overall mental health, past substance and medication use to determine if the patient would benefit from outpatient treatment prior to deciding the most appropriate level of care for the patient.
- Individualized treatment planning: Each individual has their own unique plan based upon their personal recovery goals, mental health requirements, and level of support they require. As both a client's clinical needs and degree of recovery changes, so does the need for either PHP, IOP, or outpatient treatment.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists and counselors: During their treatment experience, clients will be working with a variety of professionals such as therapists, counselors, and group facilitators to help them focus on both substance abuse issues and related mental health concerns.
- Psychiatric, medical, and recovery support staff: Clients may also have the opportunity to consult with other treatment team members like a psychiatrist, medical providers, and case managers who provide services to assist the client with the areas of medication management, mental health symptoms, coordination of care, and continued planning and preparation for ongoing recovery. Also, peer recovery meetings and supportive resources from within their communities are built into each client's treatment plan.
Typical schedule
- Levels of outpatient care: The facility adjusts scheduling for PHP, IOP, or outpatient treatment depending on a client’s clinical needs and recovery progress. PHP is the most structured level of care and typically runs about five days per week for roughly six hours per day. IOP usually meets about three days a week for a few hours each time. Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, provides a more flexible schedule. This helps clients balance work, school, or family duties.
- Structured daily programming: Each client has an assigned structured daily program adjusted to fit their needs. It may include a mix of group therapy, individual counseling, recovery education, wellness activities that include exercise and nutrition, and peer support meetings. This is intended to help the client establish a daily routine, as well as help clients with establishing independence as they progress through their recovery process.
Living experiences and amenities
- Recovery community and sober living support: In addition to treatment services, clients can also live in adjacent sober living facilities. These sober living homes are an opportunity for the client to experience shared housing, structured daily schedules, peer accountability, and on-site staff that are available 24/7 to assist with providing additional guidance and direction while individuals transition from being supported by the program to becoming independent.
- Recovery community and sober living support: Clients may participate in recreational and wellness-focused activities alongside traditional therapy programming. Amenities include outdoor spaces for recreation, pickleball, sand volleyball, tennis, basketball, art therapy, and music therapy. These activities support routine, social connection, and overall wellness during recovery.
Aftercare
- Gradual step-down and continuing care: Clients can access continued services such as counseling, peer support, and recovery programs at the next step down of outpatient care based on their ongoing treatment needs. This means individuals do not need to find a new provider or treatment team to move down from PHP to IOP to outpatient. This allows for greater continuity of care, more stability, and more overall support during the recovery process.
- Alumni and peer recovery support: Clients can access ongoing recovery support through peer meetings, an alumni app, and monthly and quarterly events. These events help clients stay connected after formal treatment ends.
