Flexible Schedules and Step-Down Care
For clients who need to balance busy schedules with recovery work, outpatient care can be a solid option. The center offers day treatment (also known as partial hospitalization or PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), virtual care, and standard outpatient treatment. As they make progress, people can step down from higher levels of care to less frequent sessions. This way, they can gradually increase their independence while still receiving the support they need. Clients can live at home, or stay in sober living, while attending outpatient treatment. For day treatment and IOP, staff can give clients a ride to sessions if they live within 15 miles of the facility.
Co-Occurring Mental Health
Those who need care for both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions can address both at once. These can include, but aren’t limited to, depression or anxiety, as well as grief and anger management.
Evidence-Based Therapy, 12-Step, and Trauma Programming
Skilled therapists use methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to address recovery challenges. Relapse prevention and motivational interviewing (MI) are also woven into programs. Clients are introduced to 12-step work, allowing them to connect with peers who are walking similar paths. Trauma-informed counseling is also available, including that which addresses PTSD. Evidence-based care is often combined with mindfulness activities such as yoga, to further help with relaxation and awareness.
Family Therapy and Aftercare
On the first Thursday of every month, the facility hosts a family and friends meeting so loved ones can participate in education sessions and learn more about addiction and recovery. This can help loved ones understand each other better and start to heal together. Once clients graduate from outpatient treatment, they can stay in touch with peers through an alumni program, which hosts recovery events and includes check-ins from staff. Case managers can assist clients with setting up housing and overcoming employment challenges. They can also be connected to local 12-step meetings and other types of community support.
