Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who are medically stable and do not need 24/7 supervision; are stepping down from detox, inpatient, or residential treatment and want structured outpatient support; need treatment that fits around work, school, parenting, or caregiving responsibilities; would benefit from treatment for both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; are interested in day or evening programming, telehealth services, family support, and recovery-focused peer groups; are veterans, first responders, or professionals looking for specialized support groups; have private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, or can self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Those who need medical detox, residential treatment, or 24/7 supervision and stabilization; are actively withdrawing from alcohol, benzodiazepines, sedatives, or opioids; are seeking primary mental health treatment without substance use treatment; or are looking for luxury-style residential rehab amenities.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Intake screening: Treatment begins with a detailed assessment covering substance use history, mental health needs, recovery goals, and the appropriate level of care.
  • Creating care plans: Staff work with clients to create a tailored treatment plan for substance use and co-occurring mental health issues. Treatment may include individual, group, and family counseling, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, recovery skills building, and ongoing reassessment to fit clinical needs and recovery progress.

Who you will meet with

  • Counselors and Therapists: Counselors, therapists, and group facilitators support clients during their treatment. Individual, group, and family sessions are available. These sessions are intended to focus on recovery, coping skills, communication, and ongoing support.
  • Clinical and Support Staff: Individuals may work with clinicians, medical providers, and case managers. They help coordinate care, monitor progress, support treatment planning, and assist with recovery and discharge needs during outpatient treatment.

Typical schedule

  • Structured outpatient programming: Intensive outpatient treatment usually involves structured sessions, either during the day or evening. These sessions occur three days a week, adding up to about nine hours weekly. Standard outpatient care provides less weekly support. It usually includes individual counseling and fewer scheduled sessions, giving clients more flexibility.
  • Outpatient recovery experience: Clients stay at home while receiving treatment. This is to help them manage work, school, parenting, or other commitments during recovery. Group-focused programming encourages regular peer interaction, accountability, and support. This helps clients practice recovery skills in their daily lives.

Aftercare

  • Continuing care and discharge planning: Clients work with staff to create their discharge plan and a recovery plan before completing treatment. Continued care recommendations may include outpatient follow-up, use of local recovery support services, referrals to available community-based resources, and continued treatment planning that is specific to each client's unique recovery needs.
  • Alumni support: After treatment, clients can join the alumni program. Through this, they will stay connected with alumni staff and take part in recovery-related events. Alumni program participants can also use an alumni app. This app includes wellness tools, a journaling feature, goal setting, and progress tracking.
